SCHOLARSHIP

Awarding Criteria: Will be awarded to a senior who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities.

This is a unique scholarship presented by the Chelmsford High School Alumni Association.  It was established in 2014 by the Chelmsford  Board of Selectmen (past and present) to honor Chelmsford High School graduates who have been accepted to a college or university to pursue undergraduate work.

The Chelmsford Board of Selectmen is the Chief Executive Body for the Town of Chelmsford.  The Board of Selectmen formally appoints and hires a town manager to assist them in the day-to-day operations of the town.  The Board of Selectmen also assumes a leadership role on behalf of the town on local issues as well as on the state and federal level.  It is in this spirit that this award is given to a CHS graduate who is pursing an undergraduate degree and who has taken leadership roles in high school or community activities, and/or other organizations within CHS or the community.
